OH, the pleasure of a woman's company,
It is expensive, so I'm told!
Could cost silver, bronze or gold,
At least slice of cake or cup of tea!
A meal out at a discreet establishment,
Big bottle of 'Chanel' fine scent!
A holiday for two in Kent,
Or just a weekend in a 'two person tent'!
For a more permanent arrangement,
Well that's far more costly!
Lots and lots of money spent,
Or things might get a little frosty!
A big house for two or more,
A welcoming hearth and ever open front door!
Then all her friends and family,
Can drop in for a cup of tea!
A pussycat and little dog,
Is added to the cost of a snog!
And woe betide, if a poet's fun,
Should lead to the addition of another one!
And so it seems to me,
A woman's company is far from free!
And a woman can command her price,
Just for being herself and very nice!
