This striking image of the storms that have battered Gloucestershire was taken by Paul Wanklyn.

He said: 'This was photographed during the lightning storm of Friday morning at 02:30 above Tewkesbury.

"Is it a tornado?'"

    In a word..... NO. It is a ***uliform cloud disapearing into the distance that was underneath the main ***ulonimbus cloud that was providing the fantastic lightning we all saw. It may appear to be a Tornado to some untrained eyes... But its not one.
