TWINS Ed and Will Andrews are proving inseparable even as they enter higher education.

The Sir Thomas Rich’s Grammar School students had success today as they achieved three A*s in the same A-level subjects – maths, physics and geology.

They will now go on to study the same geophysics degree at the same university, Imperial College London, in September.

Ed and Will, from Longney, both said they are unsure about where their future careers lie, but they have their eyes on working in the oil industry in London.

Ed said: “It’s gone really well. Before I came to get my results I knew I’d got into Imperial but it was a bit of a shock when I saw how I did.

“If I had worked any harder I would’ve driven myself into depression.

“I’m pleased for my brother but I just want to get rid of him,” he joked.

Will said: “I’m really pleased with my results because I worked really hard.

“Ed and I helped each other out by marking our past papers, and it was a big help that we weren’t stuck home alone revising. But it’s all our own work that has got us here. Hopefully I’ll get into the oil industry because there are loads and loads of jobs there.”
