More floral tributes on Saturday morning

Dozens of floral tributes have been left near to the hair salon where hairdresser Hollie Gazzard was fatally stabbed on Tuesday.

The outpouring of tributes to the 20-year-old came as Southgate Street was reopened and a police cordon taken down.

Hollie worked at the Fringe Benefits and La Bella Beauty salon, which remained closed this morning.

The flowers read ‘you will never be forgotten,’ ‘a star that shines so brightly’ and ‘always in our thoughts’.

Mourners have taken to Facebook to express their love for the former Chosen Hill School student.

Work colleagues paid tribute by saying: "Our dear Hollie, we will all miss you so much. Your natural flair was inspirational. Your lovely bubbly personality brought joy to so many people whilst with us. Our thoughts are with your family who are so proud of you. R.I.P our 'Dolly' xx"

Elsewhere on Facebook, Stephanie Lucy wrote: “Dear Hollie….My heart is broken for you and your family. Every time I think of the laughs we had on Sunday, it hurts so much to think that will never happen again. Why, Why, Why. How could anyone want to hurt such a wonderful person like you xxxxxx.”
