TWO teenagers have died after their car crashed near Dursley late last night.

An 18-year-old man from North Nibley and his passenger, a 17-year-old boy from Dursley, died at the roadside after the red Renault Clio they were travelling in left the road in Damery Lane at around 10.55pm.

The fatal crash, which happened near to the M5 Michaelwood Services at Furzeground Wood, caused the country road to be closed until 7am this morning.
No other vehicles are thought to have been involved in the crash.

The driver and passenger's next of kin and the coroner have been informed.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward, particularly a woman who stopped at the scene in her Suzuki 4x4 shortly after the collision.

Anyone who witnessed the incident should call the police on 101, quoting incident 506 of November 13.

So so sad, such a waste of young lives. Is curfew car insurance really such a good idea?

Two more families (assuming they were friends, and not close relatives) left devastated through road fatalities. Condolences to them.
