Royal couple Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall have named their newborn baby girl Mia Grace Tindall.
The former Cheltenham couple had remained tight-lipped over the name after since little Mia was born at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital last Friday.
But the Gloucester rugby favourite and England World Cup hero Tindall yesterday revealed the name on Twitter.
He said: “For everyone who has asked what our daughters name (is), it’s Mia Grace Tindall.”
Speaking about the birth of his first child with the Echo, Tindall added: “It’s been alright actually - not going to Perpignan (to play in the Heineken Cup last Saturday) made things a bit easier.
“It’s been a good week with the new arrival and it was topped off with a brilliant result from the boys.
“It’s been fun so far. At the moment she’s been very good and the nights haven’t been too bad.
“There’s another Gloucester supporter for life - she’s a Shed head.”
Mia is more popular than the boys name George which was given to the future king and son of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who was born on July 22 last year.
Mia and Isla last year replaced Ruby and Grace in the top 10 for girls, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
The baby girl becomes the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh's fourth great grandchild after Zara's brother Peter Phillips' two children and Prince George.
She is also the 16th in line for the throne.
Peter Phillips' daughters Savannah and Isla Phillips were also born at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in Gloucester.
Zara and Tindall first met in a Sydney bar when Tindall was in Australia for the 2003 Rugby World Cup.
They married in July 2011 in Edinburgh at a ceremony attended by the Queen and senior royals.
They moved back to Anne’s Gatcombe Park estate last January after selling their regency home in Cheltenham.
Zara Phillips won a silver medal at London 2012 alongside her eventing equestrian teammates William Fox-Pitt, Mary King, Tina Cook and Nicola Wilson.
She is planning to take part in the Rio de Janeiro Games in 2016 as does gold-medallist Jessica Ennis-Hill who announced she is pregnant earlier this month.
Following the birth, Buckingham Palace congratulated the couple.
A statement read: “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike’s parents, Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall, have been informed and are delighted with the news. The baby’s name will be confirmed in due course.
“This baby is the first child for Zara and Mike, the third grandchild for The Princess Royal and the fourth great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.”
