TIME stands not still, for any man,
Life seldom runs true, for any plan.
Our lives are lived from day-to-day,
Time and tide, allows us no delay.
Morning, noon and night, soon pass,
Days and weeks and years, so fast.
That all we are left are our memories,
To ponder and reminisce, if we please?
Events of our lives become landmarks,
That in our thoughts some memory sparks.
Remembering only things that really count,
Which to some others would never amount.
To happenings that they wish to remember,
Although in our hearts still glows an ember.
Which we tend and nurture, in a special way,
For to us it will always be Only Yesterday!
