Endive, Roquefort, caramelised walnut and grape salad with a marjoram dressing?

How about roasted poussin for two with sage and onion farce, new potatoes and roasted chicken jus?

Or maybe pan-fried cod cheeks and shellfish linguini with coriander and parmesan is more your thing?

David Kelman, head chef at Cheltenham's acclaimed five-star Ellenborough Park, has cooked for the Queen and the Prime Minster many times.

And he could soon be cooking for you.

WEEKEND has teamed up with the luxury hotel, in Southam, to offer one lucky reader the chance to win dinner for two in The Brasserie, including wine.

Decorated in earthy olive tones with leather banquettes and Cotswold stone walls, it's redolent of a gentleman's club with its sporting theme featuring the famous Cresta Run.

Guests can choose from a range of brasserie-style dishes, from gourmet sandwiches to full meals.

With its club-style mahogany bar, perfect for cocktails, the buzzing Brasserie is on the ground floor of the main house and is open from noon until 10pm daily.

David's accomplished menu includes pan-fried scallops, risotto, duck breast and steaks.

There are vegetarian dishes too, and brasserie classics.

The wine cellar boasts 550 varieties, skilfully managed by sommelier Clio Guidici.

To be in with a chance of winning dinner for two, with wine, answer this simple question:

Who or what is Ellenborough Park named after?

a) Ellenborough Falls, New South Wales

b) Edward Law, Earl of Ellenborough

c) Ellenborough Athletics Club, Cumbria
