THE White Company, in Gloucester Quays, has announced their last day of trading will be February 22.

Staff at the store have put a notice up in their shop window informing customers.

The shop’s tenancy agreement is up for renewal at the end of this month but bosses will be closing the store in a few weeks.

Isn't a discount store in a discount outlet These outlet places are doing well despite the Economic climate which is apparently in improving Frankly I still believe is opportunistic if you know what I mean

Places like this cannot compete in these current economic climate. It's the kind of place people browse but never buy at!however should they have a stock clearance sale...Ill make the journey from Cheltenham!

Very disappointing lots of people I know love the White Company at Gloucester, now there are more shops and restaurants it's quite a surprise and I suspect less to with Gloucester and more to do with the White Company. We travel quite away to go shopping at Gloucester albeit it needs more quality shops, like Crew etc and so do our friends particularly now the Fab new cinema and restaurants have opened, Portivo lounge is always busy when we are in their. So come White Company don't leave us to just your online. I know Gloucester Quays has its critics but over the last 12 months it's really come on and given the improving shops it's future looks brighter than ever, Coal Bar is also a great addition.

Ooops! Poor business decision there, then. They needed to look more closely at the demographics to realise that Gloucester consists of too many of the lower classes to make it viable.
