Heavy rain will put a stop to Gloucestershire’s good run of sunny days this afternoon.
Wet and windy weather is expected in the county from about 3pm.
And that is likely to set a precedent for the weekend too, with rain forecast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
This morning will be cloudy and overcast with temperatures hovering around 10C.
Mercury levels are unlikely to rise much higher than that even with some fleeting sunshine bursts expected at lunchtime.
The heaviest of the rain is forecast to fall between 4pm and 7pm.
After that a dry, but chilly evening is expected with temperatures dipping into the low single digits.
Rain is expected throughout Friday, Saturday and Sunday but there will also be intermittent sunshine.
Friday is likely to be the wettest of the next four days.
