CRISPY, hot, salty and bursting full of flavour the great British institution of fish and chips is thriving in Gloucestershire.

The Citizen asked readers to nominate their favourite chippy as we hunt for the best fryers in the county.

We were inundated with nominations.

Well Frydays in Littledean are awful! The staff are so slow. Guaranteed 20 minute wait if there are 4 customers in front of you!

There is not a decent chip shop now in Gloucester. Thin, oven chips seem to have replaced decent chunky chips. Chips are now disappointing.

Pore pore pore only one vote per IP address that will stump mobile network users as they share a very few IP addresses and people trying to vote from work on their lunch break!
