Tributes flood in after death of Lydney teenager

SOCIAL media sites were flooded with heartfelt tributes today following the death of a teenager from Lydney.

Gloucestershire police confirmed they were called to a property in Faller Fields following the death of an 18-year-old man.

He has been named locally as Tyler Davis.

The Citizen understands his death is not being treated as suspicious.

Friends reacted with shock at the news.

“I can’t believe it,” said one close friend.

“He was just the most amazing person you could ever meet. That’s the only way I can describe him.

“It hasn’t sunk in yet that this has happened. It’s just so sad.”

Friends of the former pupil at Whitecross School (now Dean Academy) went onto social media sites to voice their grief, with @TylerrDaviss trending on Twitter.

They described him as a “lovely, happy boy” and a good friend to many.

Police confirmed they were contacted about the death of an 18-year-old man from Lydney at 3.40pm on Friday.

A force spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

It is understood Tyler used to work at the Miner's Arms pub in Whitecroft.
