VOTED one of the top 10 bands to see live by Kerrang readers, tribute band Fred Zeppelin are set to perform at the Stanton Village Club next month.
In light of the resignation of the bands’ guitarist and founding member Keith Jenkins, two new members will be joining the group to allow them to continue honouring the music of the 1970s band Led Zeppelin.
Members of the chart-topping band – Robert Plant and John Bonham – have been known to attend Fred Zeppelin concerts with John’s son Jason even joining the tribute band on stage.
It is not uncommon to see other rock legends in the crowd at Fred Zeppelin concerts with appearances being made from the likes of Slade’s Jimmy Lea and Magnum’s Bob Catley.
Organiser Rob Will said: “Fred Zeppelin are a top band and we're trying to get the top artists at the club at a reasonable price.
“Any Led Zeppelin fans will find it enjoyable, especially as the club has a really informal atmosphere. I think the event will sell out.”
Tickets for the event on Saturday, February 1 cost £10. Call 01242 621483.
