ARTS and crafts and shopping for sweets were enjoyed at a new shop on Westgate Street.

Treasure Seekers officially opened today after its move to new premises from College Green.

Manager Andy Davies said: “The first day went really well, we have had many customers taking an interest. It is different to the usual shops on this street.

“We have a craft area which is bigger than what we had in College Green. We also have a shop in Stroud, which goes well too.

“We put on creative workshops and disco events around the city.”

Treasure Seekers sells a variety of gifts and homemade crafts, including retro sweets.

It also puts on activities at Kingfisher Church in Tredworth for adults with learning difficulties.

I must apologise for MY badly written comment ! It should have read : '' aim of providing vulnerable and disadvantaged people, such as adults with learning disabilities, with work experience opportunities '' ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *** Could we have a larger comment box please. It's not easy to check what you've written , ****

Sorry, but this is a poorly written article . Wouldn't it have been better to have told the readers who Treasure Seekers are ? Not every one , like myself, would have known that Treasure Seekers Ltd has been set up with the aim of providing vulnerable and disadvantages , such as adults with learning disabilities, with work experience opportunities . I wish them success in their venture , they are doing a great job .
