Rain hits the streets of Gloucester

Comments (6)

Thunder and lightning has struck Gloucester this afternoon as a band of torrential rain moved in.

Loud cracks of thunder were heard as people ran through the streets trying to get out of the heavy downpours.

Tonight should be drier, but more heavy rain is expected to move in on Sunday morning and will persist throughout much of the day.

Bad enough having to sit through a 40 second commercial to see the 15 second clip of rain on a street. Press replay, and get *another* commercial, albeit 20 secs this time. Best website ever..?

Doesn't that taxi look sporting with it's fog lights on, doesn't he know it decreases his mpg! "Under Regulation 27 of the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989 it is an offense for fog lights to be used so as to be lit at any time other than in conditions of seriously reduced visibility."

I love the way that "lightning" is spelled "lighting" in this story and "lightening" in a more recent story. What's the chance that it will eventually be spelled correctly?
