EMERGENCY services raced to the scene of a crash on a commuter route between Gloucester and Stroud.
A 19-year-old woman’s Ford Ka careered in to a field off the A4173 Horsepools Hill near Styles Lane just after 10am today.
Police, fire and rescue and ambulance crews tended to the driver, who was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No-one else was in the car, it is understood.
A spokeswoman for Gloucestershire fire and rescue service said it received a call at 10.07am from the ambulance service and was asked to make the scene safe.
One fire and rescue crew from Stroud attended and found that the injured woman had been able to get out of the car.
She was treated at the scene, then taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, said a Great Western Ambulance Service spokeswoman.
The fire and rescue crew made the area safe by disconnecting the car battery.
