One of the country's longest established icecream makers is celebrating record growth with the unveiling of a new shop and parlour.
Winstones has been producing icecream since 1925 and makes a million litres a year.
Now its popular factory shop on the slopes of the National Trust's Rodborough Common has been expanded and undergone a major overhaul.
The parlour attracts more than 100,000 customers a year and is one of the oldest in the country having been founded almost 90 years ago by Albert Winstone.
Following close collaboration with the National Trust, Astam architects and Gloucestershire's Town and City Builders, the new centre began to take shape.
"After eight weeks of building, using a range of local materials, the parlour has been finished," said a spokesman for Winstones.
"It boasts a beautiful larch facade, indoor seating, hand crafted counter tops and a patisseries cabinet, alongside a frozen cabinet with 18 of the family's award-winning icecream flavours.
"The parlour will be serving up all manner of cakes, icecreams, waffles and hot drinks, all year round."
The latest project marks the completion of a turnaround programme for the family business led by managing director and third generation family member Jane Vear.
She has overseen a record 22 per cent growth in the business over three years. Now she hopes the new parlour will help boost business further as well as tourism in the Stroud area.
Winstones uses organic milk from the short horn cows grazing the adjoining National Trust land and fresh fruit from surrounding counties for its ice cream and sorbets.
Last year Winstones landed a deal to supply icecream to 78 Co-op stores and has flourished with the growing popularity of artisan icecream.
The UK's ice cream, sorbet and frozen yogurt market has grown by 19% in the past five years, and is now worth a cool £1.1 billion.
