LEADERS are set to thrash out a deal tomorrow night over who will run Stroud District Council, following last week’s election.

For the third year running, no party has enough seats to form an administration on its own so a Labour, Green and Liberal Democrat alliance could continue. Which parties chair committees could change, as Labour gained three seats and the Greens one, while the Lib Dems sank to three members, from six.

The Conservatives upped their seats from 21 to 22 but do not have the required 26 of the 51 seats to take control.
