TALENTED young guitarist and singer Luke Jackson will perform at the Frog and Fiddle pub in Cheltenham next Saturday.

It will be the second time that Luke Jackson has performed under the Friars Folk and Roots banner having joined them last year as the support for renowned folk roots singer-songwriter Martyn Joseph.

Such was the reaction to Luke’s masterful guitar playing and wonderfully controlled vocals that belie his 19 years, he’s now bagged a show all on his own.

Last year saw the teenager nominated for both the Horizon Award for Best Emerging Talent and the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award.

He has been making ripples on the live acoustic scene supporting such luminaries as Show of Hands, Paul Brady, Chris Wood, Steve Knightley, Karine Polwart and Oysterband.

His debit album More than Boys, produced by the acclaimed Welsh singer-songwriter Martyn Joseph, launched at the Shrewsbury Festival, has been receiving plaudits from critics and airplay on radio stations.

Tickets for his performance at the Frog and Fiddle next Saturday night cost £8 each and are available by visiting www.
