SWIMMERS turned out for an early morning dip at Brockworth Leisure Centre all in the name of charity this morning.
Bill Wells, part-time duty manager at the leisure centre, said: “We had about 90 people turn up throughout the morning to take part in the swim.
“We have raised about £300 from today which will go towards the Sue Ryder Care charity, with more sponsorship due in later.
“It has been a great team effort with all the staff and lifeguards giving up their time for free to volunteer at the event.
“Everyone has been complimentary about the swim and it has all gone very well.
“Tesco Brockworth and the local co-op shop donated mince pies too which went down very well.”
