YOUNG super heroes ran for charity in Quedgeley yesterday.
Youngsters from the Chatterbox parent and toddler group, which meets at St James’ Church, dressed up as their favourite super hero or fairytale characters to do a fun run in aid of Sport Relief.
Organiser Jackie Hall sported her very own Peter Pan outfit too.
The children decorated red paper hats with stickers and recycled material. Those that took part in the running race and each received a medal.
Reverend John Ward said: “I’m pleased that St James’ is taking part in this national charity event. The money raised through Comic Relief gives families both in the UK and abroad, many living in extreme poverty a degree of support. The children have enjoyed themselves too decorating hats, making flags and participating in the running races.”
