The Cheltenham Ladies' College had a successful trip to the British School Girls' Ski Races in Flaine, France.

Felicity Harrison came second in the unregistered Under-16 Slalom and third in the overall unregistered category.

The 14-year-old battled the conditions and pre-race nerves after 20cm of snow fell overnight.

She added to that achievement by forming part of the A team, along with Annabel Lawrence and Emily Parker, which came second in the unregistered category.

A seven-strong squad flew out to the French Alps for the event in late January, which included two days of training and a further two of competition.

College head of skiing, Clare Townsend, said: "We are very pleased with the results and the girls can be very proud of the way they performed against some very tough competitors."
