This youngster wasted no time in getting outside to make the most of the early spring sunshine in Gloucester Park.

She was among many people who have marvelled at the emerging colours in bloom in the fields off Trier Way.

With purple crocuses starting to show their heads, it has made the setting all the more idyllic for a family stroll.

Among those out enjoying the park in the weekend sunshine was Damian Rutkowski, his girlfriend Kasia Cwier and their 11-month-old son Olly.

Damian, from Tredworth, said: “It makes everyone feel a little bit more cheerful when the sun is out, especially after all the wet weather we have had.

“We decided to come out for a walk to make the most of it.

“It makes you think that hopefully winter is behind and the summer is not very far away.”

But forecasters say sun seekers may not be entirely out of the woods yet, with brisk temperatures set to dominate in the county throughout this week and more rain likely.

Nicole Nowosielska maybe her parents should teach her not to pick the flowers then we could all enjoy them for a week or to! or maybe it made a nice posed pick for the photographer
