Snooker players celebrate Gloucester sporting heritage

SNOOKER stars dropped into the Folk Museum to celebrate the Sporting Gloucester exhibition.

It celebrates the sporting heritage and achievements of Gloucester’s sports teams and sporting heroes.

The 2013 World Snooker European Tour, sees players competing for The Kay Suzanne Memorial Cup taking place at, The Capital Venue, South West Snooker Academy, Quedgeley.

Councillor Colin Organ said: "The museum offers a touring gallery and the latest exhibition Sporting Gloucester tells the stories of some of the fascinating sporting memories of local people as well as memorabilia which has been collected by city residents."

It will be on display until April 26, 2014.
