SHOPPERS got more than they bargained for when they went to do their weekly shop in Tesco at Brockworth when dozens of staff members did the Cha Cha Slide.

The workers showed off their best dance moves to bemused shoppers who watched on and filmed their antics.

They were raising funds for Diabetes UK, the supermarket’s charity of the year.

Laura Pittaway, the store’s community champion, said: “The shoppers loved it. It went really well and was a lot of fun. Everybody wanted to join in.

“We also had a cycling challenge where we cycled around Chicago, the birth place of the Cha Cha Slide, and we clocked up some 432 miles.”

The store also sold cakes to top up the funds during the two-day event. Staff are still counting up how much they raised but have already enlisted two diabetic shoppers as volunteers for future events.

The kid on the right in the picture with the glasses is a trolley boy lol. I usually see him outside doing anything but work, usually smoking.

Its no wonder the shelves are always understocked if the staff are always dancing.
