SHERLOCK Holmes will return to small screens for two more seasons, its creators have confirmed.
The hit BBC show, which featured stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman in The Daffodil in Suffolk Parade, Cheltenham in the current series, has gripped the nation.
Many viewers will be wanting more after this season’s three episode series concludes on Sunday.
Sherlock co-creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss have confirmed they have plotted series’ four and five already.
The final episode of three in the current series will be screened on Sunday, January 12 at 8.30pm on BBC1.
His Last Vow will centre on Holmes’ arch enemy Charles Augustus Magnussen, played by Lars Mikkelsen who has had leading roles in Danish political drama Borgen and thriller The Killing.
