The Severn Bore Inn at Minsterworth was evacuated this morning as the River Severn burst its banks.

Water rushed into the pub's car park and dry cellar as a tidal surge headed up the river toward Gloucester.

People were evacuated from the car park as the water came in and the pub has closed.

Pub landlord Mark Fox said: "The dry cellar is not so dry now but thankfully the water is receding here for now. There is no point in panicking about it because nature will take its course. We can only do what we can do to keep it at bay.
