RUGBY fans from across the country have arrived in Gloucester to watch one of the biggest games of the season this afternoon.

Kingsholm Road has been closed while fans make their way to the stadium to watch Gloucester Vs Bath, at 3.15pm.

Adrian Gittings from Matson said: “I have supported Gloucester for 51 years. Bath has a higher chance of winning because of their position in the league table but Gloucester could win through their sheer hard work and pride.

“They have to be careful not to give too many penalties away though. I think the last time Bath won in Gloucester was back in 2005.”

Tahlia Balfe said: “This is the first rugby game I will be watching. I have come all the way from Birmingham. I don’t know much about the game, but I do know it is a derby game and Bath is a very good team.”

Emma Burkett from Longlevens said: “I love rugby, I am a season ticket holder. I really hope Gloucester wins.”

And that game, ladies and gentlemen, is an abject lesson in precisely what happens when our first choice and best tight head, Rupҽrt Hardҽn, is unavailable to start. Mullered in scrum after scrum throughout the game with the result that Bath is able walk away with the win.
