Got ripped off the other evening .charged for evening meals but there wasn't more food on offer than when we have eaten at lunch time was told there was a lot more choice in evening but no.We had booked a table and when we arrived we were shown to our table it w as covered in sauce and the chairs were dirty. Also there is a big language barrier with all the staff. Perhaps the hygiene inspectors have visited as it needed a good clean all around the floors to get the food off!!!!

Apothegm_ I would not take too much notice of anything posted by a Tripadvisor "member" as often they are fictitious!

It's probably the fact that they can barely speak English, serve raw food, and send you to the dessert table every time you ask for 'Duck'.

It is curios that The Real China doesn't appear to have a Food Standards Agency hygiene rating. Until then read the(pretty awful) Trip Advisor reviews: http://tinyurl.com/kdj2xyl

This Restaurant always seems so much quieter than the others at the Quays. Do doubt the PR disaster over the undercooked Chicken episode (could they have handled it any worse?) and steamed up windows etc can't have done them any favours. I noticed their were some tools and equipment inside the Unit yesterday but no other clues as to the cause of the issue. Wagamama would be an ideal replacement if The Real China don't get their act together in the long term. Good to see that TGi's are opening this month.

I'm just slightly perplexed that it is on Quays headed note paper and signed the management and not on something written by the restaurant. I read that as a message from The Quays, not the restaurant. But happy to be proven wrong.....
