For the first time, GQ and Editorial Intelligence teamed up to compile a list of the 100 Most Connected Men in the UK, with Stephen Fry and Prince Charles making it in the top 50.
Based on their social media interaction, influence and the admiration they receive, the results show a wide range of today’s achievers from varied backgrounds.
The list features five categories which the men are placed in.
Connectors are the helpers and givers, who introduce people to one another and bring social groups together.
Influencers are widely admired, including sportsmen and cultural figures.
Socialites are recognised for their generosity, often ranking high for their hospitality.
Spiders refer to men who fit in a range of social circles and are part of more than one sector.
Leaders are the forefront of an organisation and have a high profile as well as representing their group.
Stephen Fry, who was educated at Stouts Hill Preparatory School in Uley, topped the list as a connector and influencer.
Coming in at 31 is Prince Charles as a leader and influencer, followed by Benedict Cumberbatch at 80.
Made even more famous for his role as Sherlock Holmes in the BBC adaptation, Benedict has filmed in Gloucestershire on multiple occasions for the series.
