More than a dozen businesses are currently without electricity in Gloucester.

The power went off at around 10.30am affecting businesses in the Westgate Street area.

Ivan Taylor, of Truscotts Jewellers, said: "We are okay but there are a number of businesses in the area without power.

"There is no pattern as such, it seems quite random. Hopefully it will be back on soon."

Curious - didn't this happen a month or so ago too? In exactly the same area?

Curious. Maybe the problem is to do with an individual supplier's software, affected by the work on the substation or something else, which has caused their customers, and only their customers, in that area to be 'cut off'...

Could this be to do with the replacement of the substation on Commercial road?
