Police are not linking two Gloucestershire attacks where women were attack by gangs of men before being sexually assaulted.
Detectives investigating two separate but similar sexual assaults in Gloucester and Cheltenham just weeks apart do not believe they are related.
The first took place on April 19 on the canal towpath in Gloucester when four men grabbed a 28-year-old by the hair, pulled her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.
Then just before midnight on Friday, May 2 three men approached an 18-year-old in Brunswick Street, Cheltenham pushed her to the ground and tried to remove her clothes before they sexually assaulted her.
Anyone with information about either attack can contact police on 101 quoting incident 419 of April 19 for the Gloucester crime and incident 3 of May 2 for Cheltenham.
