CHELTENHAM Borough Council has warned of more road closures for a busy road in town centre.
The A46, between Grosvenor Street and the junction of Bath Street will be closed from 6am on Monday, February 11, for approximately two weeks.
This is to allow contractors working on behalf of Severn Trent Water to carry out repairs to the sewer.
Western Power Distribution will also be carrying out electrical supply works at this location while the road remains closed.

Well, if the work's got to be done, then so be it. Refreshing to see that electrical works are programmed for the same time as the water works. An example of the long-talked-about co-ordination between utility companies, or sheer good luck / coincidence? Let's just hope the same area isn't then dug up again a short time later by the gas or telecoms companies, to make good damage to their installations... So what is the formal diversion route whilst this section of the A46 ring road is closed? Old Bath Road & Thirlestaine Road, I assume? Going to be busy...
