OLDER people across the city have been getting active in a bid to stay healthy.
Visitors have enjoyed a fitness class which has helped them improve their balance and strengthen their body and muscles.
The classes which take place in Matson are run by Simon Grodentz.
He said: “We set it up initially two years ago to help local residents reduce their risk of falls and improve their mobility and general wellbeing, particularly those who are worried about falling over and hurting themselves.
“Activities in class include balance, strength exercise and Tai-Chi. The class helps people feel better on their feet and have fun at the same time.”
Classes are held at the Redwell Centre on Tuesday from 12.15pm until 1.15pm.
