Ex-OXO mum and Calendar Girls star Lynda Bellingham revealed a bold new look on Monday's This Morning programme.

Gone were her trademark glossy, brunette locks as she appeared on the ITV show to plug her new book, Tell Me Tomorrow.

In their place was a bright, white crop, prompting the Loose Women panelist to point at her new 'do' and announce: "Look at the hair."

Six months ago, Lynda was diagnosed with cancer - though she would not reveal which type.

"When you hear the word, you think 'death'," she said on the show. "The important thing is that there are some amazing people out there working on our behalf to make it 'living with cancer'. That's what I'm attempting to do."

Following her appearance, fans took to Twitter to congratulate Lynda, who talked openly to host Philip Schofield - who also sports distinctly grey hair - about her battle with the disease.

Supporters called her "an inspiration" and offered "loads of love and support" through her chemotherapy.

She's the latest in a long list of celebs to embrace the natural look - Dame Helen Mirren, who once lived in the Forest of Dean, to name but one.

So is it time to go grey gracefully, whatever the reason? Tell us what you think.
