Storms are due to hit Gloucestershire on Sunday, putting a slight dampener on people’s weekend.

Forecasters at the Met Office have predicted downpours this morning, getting heavier during the afternoon, as a band of rain sweeps across the county.

It will be accompanied by winds of up to 30mph.

The conditions are sure to bring people back to earth with a bump after the county spent most of Saturday basking in early Spring sunshine.

However, it is not all doom and gloom. Despite more rain expected on Monday, brighter conditions are in store for Tuesday.
