Sunshine in Gloucestershire

Comments (2)

Clear blue skies and sunshine is in store for Gloucestershire residents today.

Forecasters at the Met Office have predicted a cracking early spring day across the county, with unbroken sun in most parts throughout the afternoon and temperatures of up to 12 C.

There will be some early cloud cover in some places, but that will make way for the sun to burn through by late morning.

The conditions will make for ideal going on the second day at Cheltenham Festival, where ladies are set to turn up in an array of eye-catching costumes as part of Ladies Day.

The favourable conditions look set to continue with more sun expected tomorrow.

Agreed. The sun did eventually make an appearance mid afternoon, but to call it a "balmy" day is frankly a load of old cobblers. And the forecasters keep insisting that their forecasts are getting more & more accurate - must do better (or just give up).

They couldn't forecast sand in the Sahara - it's grey, cold and far from being described as balmy. I dread to think how much money it costs for them to do their forecasts, when all it takes is someone to stick their head out the window.
