FLOWERS have been laid at Newent Lake in memory of the 20-year-old who died there.
She has been named locally as Bethan Rosetta.
Shock spread through the town after her body was found on Saturday morning.
She had been reported missing at about 1.40am that day.
More than 60 mourners gathered at the beauty spot on Tuesday to pay their respects to her.
They included her mother Yvonne who had travelled over from Barry, in Wales, following the tragedy.
Floral tributes were placed at the entrance to the lake, where her body was found off a footpath at 8am by a dog walker.
And a few words were said by a vicar.
Bethan moved to the town two years ago from Wales. She had been doing an apprenticeship at Britdoors Group based on Newent Business Park. About 25 colleagues were there on Tuesday.
HR co-ordinator Dave Symonds said: "She sat about 10ft from me and really was a lovely girl.
"Fun-loving and a really good worker and nothing was too much trouble for her.
"We are all devastated and knocked for six by what has happened."
Bethan had also completed a diploma in horse management at Hartpury College in 2011.
A college spokesman said: "We are saddened to hear about the sudden death of Bethan.
"Her tragic death at such a young age is a huge loss and our thoughts are with all of her family and friends at this very sad time."
On Monday the town council also held a minute silence in her memory.
Police are not treating Bethan's death as suspicious and an inquest is due to be opened within the next few days.
