MASTERFUL kitchen creations have seen a Stroud boy crowned champion of BBC TV's Junior MasterChef contest.
Marling School pupil Tom Barlow-Kay, 12, won the final, screened yesterday afternoon.
CBBC's search for this year's Junior MasterChef champion culminated in an exciting final show when Tom was awarded his winning trophy for his tasty efforts.
He was handed the gong by judges top chef John Torode and food blogger and TV cook Donal Skehan.
Tom said: "Okay – that's cool! I never thought I'd do it, it's amazing!
"It's been my dream, ever since I was tiny, to win MasterChef, so to win this is just astonishing.
"It's definitely the biggest achievement I've had in my life so far."
