Masterchef returned to our screens tonight like an old friend with a glorious mix of talented cooks - and disasters.
Enjoying their 10th anniversary of the hit BBC show John Torode and Greg Wallace retained the chemistry we have come to love.
Tonight started with a Calling Card challenge in which the contestants made a dish which represented their entrance into the show.
From pasta made with instant mash to the first disaster of the current series (a deconstructed Beef Wellington which resulted in Rob the management consultant being booted off the show) it's great to have Masterchef back.
Quote of the show came from Greg about the ill-fated Wellington.
"Leave it alone, it's done nothing to you," he told Rob.
Quarter final places went to Lindy Hopper Robert and Holly who was inspired to cook after being treated to a Michelin starred meal for her 18th.
If you were inspired to cook after tonight's show here's five recipes based on dishes from tonight's show:
That meal had a LIVER from a RABBIT in it and the torode man said "there's nothing weird on the plate". #masterchef

That management consultant couldn't have come across more like a management consultant if he cooked in the form of Power Point #masterchef

I don't know about you but if someone told me a kebab 'was my personality', I'd be offended #masterchef
