PROPOSALS for a massive wind turbine at Sharpness are set to be approved.

Stroud District Council has recommended planning permission be granted for the 122 metre high structure which will use the power of the wind to generate electricity.

The application by PFR (Sharpness Docks) Ltd of Melcombe Place, London, will be considered by members of the district council’s planning committee on Tuesday, May 13.

    Did I just read that right? The Stroud a Council are approving something and NONE of the NIMBYs are out in force complaining that it will spoil their view blah blah blah blah blah?
