Man seriously injured in Tidenham collision

A man suffered serious injuries in a collision in Tidenham yesterday.

An Audi A8L and a Mercedes ML 320 collided at the entrance to the National Diving Centre on the A48 at about 2.10pm on Sunday.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 52-year-old man from Chippenham, was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital with serious injuries. He remains there in a stable condition.

A 48-year-old woman who was the front seat passenger also went to Frenchay Hospital with a fractured arm and other minor injuries.

Two children in the car suffered minor injuries.

A man and woman from Lydney who were in the Audi were taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with non-serious injuries.

The road was closed while a collision investigation took place.

Anyone who witnessed the crash but hasn't yet spoken to officers should call 101, quoting incident 207 of March 9.
