Gordon League II 8

Lydney II 26

ON A wet and windy afternoon and with only a handful of matches being played in the county, Lydney United travelled to play Gordon League's second XV.

Conditions underfoot were nearly unplayable, and both teams decided to play 30 minutes each half due to the conditions and poor light.

From the start the Lydney pack dominated with all the tries coming from the forwards with three conversions for Jack Batcock.

With strong tackling in the forwards and backs to keep the hosts away from the try line, Lydney held out to win.
