A DRIVER escaped with just a hurt finger when his sports car flipped in the Forest of Dean.

When police officers were called to a collision outside Bream Auto Store in the High Street at 12.20pm on Friday they were met with the sight of a black Toyota Celica on its roof.

The driver, a 59-year-old man from Lydney, was not sure how the crash happened, said police. The incident caused slight damage to a car parked on the road at the time.

The driver of the car suffered a finger injury but did not require immediate medical attention. The vehicle was removed and road cleared at around 1.40pm.
