Holby City's Luke Roberts found love while filming a special episode of the hospital drama in South Africa.
The Suffolk-born actor - who plays hunky doctor Joseph Byrne - was filming in Cape Town when he met his current girlfriend, Noellie, in a very short break from filming on the second to last day of their trip.
Luke said: "She was sightseeing on a hill that we weren't supposed to be filming on, because of weather conditions.
"It was too windy to go up the cable car to Table Mountain and as a result, we ended up - as you see in the episode - on Signal Hill.
"She was aiming for Table Mountain and she drove up the wrong road and ended up at Signal Hill too. I managed to stray and wander off-set for about two minutes before I was called back by the director!"
The 30-year-old actor returned to Cape Town after filming had finished to spend a week with Noellie.
Model Noellie (so named because she was born on Christmas Day) is African by birth but lives in Montreal, Canada.
Luke said: "It's very long distance so it's a bit of a nightmare but we're going to give it a go because we think it was rather fortuitous to bump into each other at all!"
Holby City's South Africa special airs on BBC One on Tuesday.
