Jonjo O'Neill targeting more big prizes at Punchestown Festival

Jonjo O’Neill is poised to compete for more top prizes at the Punchestown Festival bouyed by his victory in the Irish Grand National.

The Jackdaws Castle has made a number of early entries for Ireland’s showpiece fixture, which starts next Tuesday and runs until next Saturday.

Irish National hero Shutthefrontdoor features among the contenders for the Aon Novice Handicap Chase next Friday, though he looks unlikely to run following his heroics at Fairyhouse on Monday.

O’Neill has two possible runners in the Goffs Land Rover Bumper on Tuesday – the unbeaten duo Blackthorn Prince and Ustica.

Stable stalwart Get Me Out Of Here, who was runner-up at the Festival for the fourth time in his career last month, has been pencilled in for the Setanta Sports Handicap Hurdle on Saturday.

Tom George has an array of entries from his yard in Slad, headed by Module in the Boylesports.com Champion Chase on Tuesday.

The seven-year-old produced the best form of his career to finish third in the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Festival.

George has given Some Buckle – third at Doncaster in his only race in Britain – an entry in the Attheraces.com Champion National Hunt Flat race on Wednesday.

Parnsip Pete could bid to follow up his victory at Aintree last time out in the Three.ie Handicap Chase on Thursday.

God’s Own may look to gain his first victory over fences for George in either the Ryanair Novice Chase on Wednesday or the Aon Novice Handicap Chase on Friday.
