Do you support legislation to allow assisted dying for adults of sound mind with a terminal illness?

Coronation Street next week will see character Hayley Cropper decide to take her own life after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

A YouGov poll today revealed 73% of the British public who took part in the poll, agreed with her right to do so.

What do you think?

I was not given a choice to being brought into this world, at least give me the dignity to die as I please. We put ourselves at the top of the food tree, destroy animals out of kindness because of suffering yet, we our are own worst enemies. The destruction caused to families and friends by theses laws when they are fully aware of what their loved ones desire is tantamount to cruelty.

It's not just the pain it's also the mental torture of knowing you are losing your memory/bodily control and at some point you will be unable to take your own life or forget to.....................

Yes, definitely . Those poor souls who have no or very little quality of life , maybe in great pain and discomfort , heading towards the end of their life SHOULD have the right to choose when they have had enough and want to die with dignity . The law needs changing NOW .
