A STUDENT who hit a roundabout in his friend's car has denied drink driving.
Carl Drury, 18, of Hartpury College, admitted driving without due care and attention and without insurance.
He is alleged to have given a roadside breath test reading of 40 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath after the collision on October 30 at the Longford A40 roundabout.
However at Stroud Magistrates' Court today his solicitor Tim Burrows said he had advised him to plead not guilty because it had been alleged there may have been a problem with a breath test machine.
The Crown made no observations. The trial was listed for the same court on March 27.
