CHILDREN'S illustrator Shoo Rayner is lovin' it after 6.5 million books containing his work were snapped up for a McDonald's promotion.

Shoo, who lives in Coleford, created drawings for Michael Morpurgo's beloved Mudpuddle Farm stories.

The titles originally came out more than 20 years ago but are now being given away as part of the fast food chain's latest promotion.

"These books really got me going as an illustrator and a writer too," said Shoo.
