Rally driver Andy Gwynne will celebrate his birthday by taking part in the Wyedean Forest Rally next Saturday.
Gwynne, who owns the Gloucestershire Rally School, in Cirencester, will take part in the February 9 rally with instructor Mark Watkins in the co-driver's seat.
Gwynne will compete in his Super1600 Saxo kit car, which he has used on this rally several times before and gained several class wins.
He said: "I can't wait to get back out in the car on gravel and we're hoping for good weather as the last couple of Wyedean rallies have been ice which makes it very frustrating.
"I've made a couple of amendments to the car so I'm confident of a good run. It would be great to take a trophy home on my birthday."
Gwynne and Watkins, from Hardwicke, will be hoping to pick up a navigator's 1600cc class win at the Wyedean, which is the first round of the National Gravel Rally Championship.
The Wyedean Rally is based in Chepstow and uses various stages throughout the Forest of Dean.
